Black Bear Distribution utilizes the latest Supply Chain Solution software, SCflex, by Softeon (Herndon, Va.) for both 3PL and WMS applications. The system allows for ASN integration direct from manufacturing, order picking wave management, and secure truck loading.
The Softeon SCFlex system also allows for inventory and transaction visibility on an account-by-account basis.
Hardware supported by Softeon includes wireless RF scanners (Motorola), integrated pallet and truck scales, and a fully automated order sortation system (Allan Bradley Programmable Logic Controler and integrated by NIC Sytems of Plantsville Ct.).
All warehouse lift-trucks are equipped with Crown's InfoLink system, a wireless fleet managing software controlling and monitoring equipment access, utilization, OSHA inspections, and maintenance.
Black Bear Distribution offers a new state-of-the-art central industrial rated refrigeration system that utilizes non-toxic Freon as the refrigerant. The systems are Central Station monitored and alarmed for all aspects of operation (tempature ranges, building entrance and fire protection) 24 hours per day with remote access control at all times. In addition, the systems provide for data storage, retreival, and reporting.
